I write and direct audio plays which are podcast through my channel, Sound Escape Theatre. As a child, I loved making up stories in dialogue, and later in life I co-managed a pop-up theatre group, developing skills in both acting and improvisation. I am a confident speaker, comfortable in delivering talks and workshops for different sized groups.

In 2017 I decided to study for a Master's degree in Creative Writing at the University of Glasgow, focusing on the scripting and production of historical audio dramas for podcasting. My work was awarded a Distinction. My stories are very varied in subject matter, and I love finding a way to tell each one from an unusual angle.

My play, Collaboration was shortlisted for an award at the 18th International Audio Drama Festival. Sound Effects, was shortlisted in the 2021 King Lear Prize and Aesthetica Magazine awards. High Spirits featured in the UK International Audio Drama Festival in 2023. The Glad Giver featured in the 650th celebrations of Julian of Norwich.

My talks include sound clips from a variety of plays to illustrate the whole process of creating them. I’m open to any ideas for talks and workshops around sound-only drama.
