I am a children’s author with books published for ages 7-14. My first two books, Help! I Smell a Monster & Whoa! I Spy a Werewolf (ages 7+) are comedy adventures stuffed full of incredible monster characters; Haarville is a darkly comic mystery adventure for readers 9+ where the setting is a character in itself. I have extensive experience with both in-person and virtual events; I also have classroom skills, and an understanding of current primary teaching practices, having worked in a primary school in a support role.

My assembly-style school visits and festival events include a chat about how and why I became a children’s author, along with a peek into my author’s toolkit. I then focus on either creating marvellous monster characters or a sensational story setting, both involving fun interactive group activities. There’s always time for a reading and the all-important Q&A.

In addition, I offer classroom-based workshops for primary levels P3-P7, and secondary levels S1-S2, covering all elements of story creation; I am also available for writing workshops for adults, with experience running ‘worldbuilding’ sessions.
