I am a playwright, dramaturg and audio-dramatist. Samples of my work are found on my website Burnham Dramaturgy. Co-founding Stark Theatre in 2007, I somehow found myself writing two of their ten productions, spanning a decade.

My developing interest in writing led me to the corridors of the University of Glasgow where I studied an MLitt in Playwriting & Dramaturgy, graduating in 2017. Newly focussing on dramaturgy - the curation of effect to tell a story – offered a plethora of possibilities to capture audiences’ imagination. Acting Coach Scotland (ACS) expressed an interest in producing my work and in 2023, funded by Creative Scotland, Dance the Colour Blue played at The Old Gym Theatre in Govan. A hitherto untried week-long professional run proved highly successful, demonstrating to ACS that longer production runs within the local community could be financially sustained.

My talks focus on how we tell stories to convey immediacy, and include sound and visual clips.  I am a regular public speaker who is able to deliver workshops tailored to audience size, type and demand.
