Kevin Crowe's headshot

Since the 1970s, I have had poetry, fiction and non-fiction published in a wide range of magazines, periodicals, anthologies and more recently online, and I am the author of the short story collection No Home In This World (Fly On The Wall Press, 2020).

I have read my work at the Scottish Parliament, Northern Lights Festival, Glasgow's Aye Write Festival, Highland Pride, Ullapool Book Festival, John O'Groats Book Festival, at folk clubs, on radio and online.  I have worked collaboratively with visual artists and musicians. I am editor of the Highland LGBT+ magazine UnDividingLines. I have also organised arts and literary events, such as arts festivals, poetry readings and literary workshops.

I used to run training courses for social care and health care professionals and volunteers on HIV/AIDS, sexual health, LGBT+ awareness and anti-discriminatory work. I have also organised, participated in and spoken at political, trade union, LGBT+ and socialist campaigns. I ran a bookshop for 15 years.

I am happy to run workshops and speak or read at any events, and have a particular interest in working with and encouraging those who come from communities that are under-represented in mainstream publishing.
