Lisa Tuttle's headshot

I have been a published author for 45 years, beginning as a fan and selling my first story in my teens. I write mainly in the genres of fantasy, horror and science fiction. I also researched and wrote An Encyclopedia of Feminism, and remain passionate about gender issues. I've worked as a journalist, book editor, library assistant, taught creative writing, and love discussing everything related to books, reading, writing and literature.

I have written for children, and made school visits in the past, but as those books are out of print now, I tend to focus mainly on adult audiences. (Photo credit: Melanie Fazi)
