I am a writer and creative writing teacher. I have written two romantic comedies set in 1920 called The Wrong Envelope and The Wrong Direction. Although light in tone, they reflect on how the shadow of the First World War hung over Britain long after the conflict ended, and explore how difficult it was for women at that time. I have also written a contemporary novel called The Unravelling with the themes of family, immigration and the refugee crisis. I would love to read from and talk about these novels and facilitate discussions.

As a self-published author I would enjoy explaining the nuts and bolts of self-publishing from my own experience, to encourage other people who would like to publish their own work. I could give a step-by-step fun and informative talk on how to go about it.

Having worked as a literacy tutor for many years, I have experience delivering creative writing workshops to adult learners and people with English as an additional language. When delivering creative writing workshops, I can include images from my landscape photography, and create writing prompts to suit the group. I am experienced in getting groups to write poetry together during a workshop.
