Malachy Tallack's headshot

Malachy Tallack is an award-winning author and singer-songwriter from Shetland. He has written both fiction and non-fiction, and has spoken at events across Scotland and the UK, as well as overseas. He has taught creative writing in short workshops and in residential courses.

His first book, Sixty Degrees North, was a work of travel and memoir, and was broadcast on BBC Radio 4 as a Book of the Week. His second, The Un-Discovered Islands, was named Illustrated Book of the Year at the Edward Stanford Travel Writing Awards in 2017.
