I always aim to make my events interactive and creative and hope to leave people buzzing about reading and storywriting. I offer stacks of experience from book festival events for families, to story sessions in nurseries, through to events and workshops with all ages of primary school children, and occasionally with high school pupils.

My early years events use songs and rhyming. My events for younger primary school children use rhyming, word games, and story inventing. For older pupils, I like to explore how story ideas appear and develop often trying to demystify the process of writing and make it easy and fun. I am comfortable working with small groups, classes or whole year groups and have worked with groups as small as three, to as large as 300. Testimonials are on my website.

I also do specific events aimed at producing a piece of writing (in 60 minutes, or working with groups on one-off sessions or residencies to produce their own story about themselves or where they live. From my charity sector career I offer experience of facilitating and chairing events and of working with diverse groups of adults and young people. I'm comfortable in varied settings.
