Nicola combines her passion for history with a love of dressing up to bring characters vividly to life. She delivers entertaining and engaging workshops, interpretative performances and storytellings to primary and secondary school pupils, as well as adult groups. Subjects range from the cursed Stewarts, World War 1, and the Jacobites. She is the co-author of The Purple, White and Green, the story of the Scottish Suffragettes.
Nicola holds regular storytelling sessions for nursery children involving rhyme, song and actions and has recently adapted the Greek Myths for telling in Care Homes. She also delights in entertaining adults with dark tales over dinner.
Working as a freelance trainer, tour guide and learning consultant, Nicola provides voice and drama workshops and is a firm advocate of children as storytellers.
