Irish poet, doctoral candidate, and journalist, Oisín Breen, a multiple Best of the Net nominee and Erbacce Prize finalist, is published in 112 journals in 22 countries, including in Agenda, North Dakota Quarterly, Books Ireland, Quadrant, and The Tahoma Literary Review. Breen’s widely reviewed and highly praised second collection, Lilies on the Deathbed of Étaín will be reissued by Downingfield in October. It follows his critically well received debut, 'Flowers, All Sorts, in Blossom...' (Dreich, 2020). A new collection, The Kerygma is due out through Salmon in 2025.

 

Breen is also an accomplished and frequent performer of poetry, a well practised public speaker with prior training in drama and performance, a former sales and management trainer and occasional financial analyst, a financial journalist with hundreds of articles to his name, a narratologist, a long-standing EFL instructor for advanced students from 16-up, and he possesses a keen and deep interest in history, politics, the wider literary world.
