I am a poet, editor and live artist living in Edinburgh. My second collection, The Good Dark, won the Saltire Society's 2015 Poetry Book of the Year award. My poems have appeared in Modern Poetry in Translation, New Writing Scotland and The American Poetry Review. I was awarded a Robert Louis Stevenson fellowship in 2012 and the Jessie Kesson fellowship at Moniack Mhor in 2018.

As a member of Highlight Arts, I have organised festivals and translation workshops in Syria, Pakistan and Iraq. I have delivered workshops and performances around the world. I've led sessions with 300 Mexican primary school students, teenagers in Berlin and elderly folk in Jura. I pride myself on engaging and accessible sessions tailored to the needs of each client. Since being the Scottish Poetry Library's reader in residence I've built a reputation for providing energising and inspiring workshops centred around poetry.
