In the last few years I have lectured, both academically and more creatively, in the UK and abroad. I have read at several literary festivals (especially Wigtown) and also chaired and presented various other writers. I have preached, delivered workshops - including residential ones, participated in panel discussions, and more. My themes and works are fairly wide-ranging and include short stories, new nature writing, fairy stories, folk tales, silence, solitude, travel, Christianity, to name a few. Recently I have been leading literary walks e.g. fairy tales in Tentsmuir Forest, the St. Ninian Pilgrimage route, etc. I’d be interested in doing more of these. I don't work with children.
