I am a retired police officer, having worked in both rural and urban settings. I was a murder squad detective, plain clothes surveillance officer and drugs squad operative, spending many years working undercover.

My youngest child Louise passed away aged 23yrs with Cystic Fibrosis. I have been a fundraiser and office bearer of the CF Trust for many years.

I am a Walking Football coach working with Glasgow Life and a published author.

My memoir - The Ten Percent published by Ringwood, is a ‘warts and all’ look at the life of a uniform and plain clothes police officer from ‘behind the curtain’.

I am a public speaker, story teller, trainer and youtube podcaster with a genuine interest in everyones story. I strongly believe that life is immensely rewarding when we share our experiences, discover the common ground we share and marvel at the diversity among us. With empathy, understanding and good humour we can all benefit from each other, and I hope to help facilitate that process.
