Svend-Erik Engh is a Danish storyteller and author living in Edinburgh. He is passionate about Viking stories and traditional tales of Scandinavia. His first book in English - Danish Folktales, published in 2023 by the History Press - is a collection of Svend-Erik’s favourite stories from his homeland. He has been telling these stories for over 30 years in countries all around the world including Italy, Spain, the USA, Namibia and now loves to share them here in Scotland.
Svend-Erik leads fun workshops inspired by his stories that sometimes include traditional Viking games. He is also a very experienced teacher of oral storytelling arts and has nurtured new storytellers across Scandinavia, the USA and now in Scotland.
