Winner of many literary awards, Theresa Breslin is the critically-acclaimed author of over 50 titles covering every age range, whose books have been adapted for television, stage and radio, and are translated worldwide.

Her work encompasses most genres and formats, from picture books - e.g. the beautifully illustrated Treasury series of Scottish traditional tales, to historical - e.g. Remembrance, a novel of youth in WW1, and modern stories - e.g. Divided City.

Theresa's author talks and workshops vary from general to specific, each one being tailored to suit the event. In her presentations she highlights aspects of reading - stimulating the audience's own reading development, and writing - to encourage imagination, articulate self-expression, and develop creativity.

As a former youth librarian, Theresa is aware of the enormous value of reading and creative writing, and tries to encourage these skills, especially in young people. In addition to developing her own writing, she is a strong advocate for libraries and professionally delivered library services. Theresa is an inspirational speaker of international experience with schools, festivals, writer and book Groups, staff INSET / CPD sessions and conferences, delivering keynote addresses.
