My principle area of expertise is in the Scots language, where I have developed extensive experience both as a performer and as an educator. I have led workshops and given talks on the Scots language for groups of all ages and experience levels, at locations and events all across Scotland, including Aye Write! and Edinburgh International Book Festival.

I am particularly experienced in supporting children and young people in discovering and expressing themselves through the use of Scots, and in developing confidence through the exploration of language. As a reader of my own work, I have appeared on TV, radio, and at literary events across Europe. I have performed for audiences of every age at venues of every kind, from schools to bowling clubs to football grounds to Sky Sports News. (Photo credit: Kat Gollock)
