Primarily a poet, I have also written picture books, young adult novels, travel books and radio plays. I have collaborated with many artists and musicians, working in a range of contexts: schools, universities, and residencies as a writer and creative writing tutor. I have worked myself on writing projects of some breadth - for example, Dear Alice, Narratives of Madness (poetry) and In Another World - Among Europe's Dying Villages (prose).

Recently, I have been working as Creative Director, on a project involving conversation - A Year of Conversation 2019.
