I write historical and modern fiction as well as poetry. I've read and performed my work at a variety of festivals and events, ranging from open mics in Pacific Northwest mill towns to the Swedish national slam poetry championships and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. I've won a New Writers Award from the Scottish Book Trust and three Creative Scotland grants, and was a Fulbright scholar to Romania in creative writing.

I'm happy to meet writers and readers throughout Scotland, and have given workshops and readings in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Greenock, Cumbernauld, Aberdeen, St Andrews, and Skye - I love to travel and will pretty much go anywhere!
