My memoir, A Silent Voice Speaks, was published on June 8th 2022 by Fledgling Press and I believe that the book will be a great encouragement to all young women of ethnic minorities who might not believe in themselves or their capabilities.

I have over 30 years’ experience working in the voluntary sector. As part of my current job, I have delivered Sikh cultural awareness sessions across the board to NHS, schools, Police Scotland, Buckingham Palace and Holyrood Palace staff.

I believe the messages in my book would be of particular use to schools and children from S1 onwards. I am currently undertaking successful author events across Scotland, including a recent appearance at the Glasgow Mela, and an upcoming event with Sally Magnusson at EIBF 2022 and I think that hearing my story will encourage young BAME women to follow their dreams, as I have.
