'In the land of Draconis, there are no dragons – until now…'

Join award-winning author Alastair Chisholm for an event based on his fantasy adventure series DRAGON STORM! Learn about weird and wonderful dragon myths from around our world, how to draw dragons, and how to give them dragon names. Then create your very own dragon – and choose its special dragon powers!

Alastair will read an excerpt from one of his Dragon Storm series of chapter books (Tomas and Ironskin), chat about dragon myths, and then show the audience how to draw and design their own dragon, choose a dragon name, and a unique dragon power…

Alastair writes award-winning picture books, chapter books about dragons, and science fiction adventures for older kids. He lives in Edinburgh with his family and a cat named Maudie, who is yowling at him even though there is CLEARLY food in her bowl, and his hobbies include writing, playing games on his phone when he should be writing, and biscuits.

Please note a ticket-holding adult must accompany a ticketed child, with a maximum ratio of 1 adult to 1 child.

This event is part of Book Week Scotland and our own fantastic Autumn Authors series, which runs from September to November.
