Callum McSorley is a writer based in Glasgow whose short stories have appeared in Gutter Magazine, Monstrous Regiment and New Writing Scotland. Squeaky Clean is his debut novel, inspired by his years working at a car wash in Glasgow's East End. With it, Callum became the youngest ever author to win the prestigious McIlvanney Prize for best Scottish crime novel of the year. His second novel, Paperboy, will be published in 2025.

Callum is a writer based in Glasgow. He graduated from the University of Strathclyde in 2013 with a degree in English, Journalism & Creative Writing, and in 2014 was selected for the Hermann Kesten Writing Scholarship in Nuremberg. In 2019 he was shortlisted for The Big Issue Crime Writing Contest. His short stories have appeared in Gutter Magazine, Shoreline of Infinity, New Writing Scotland, Typehouse Literary Magazine, The Glasgow Review of Books, Monstrous Regiment, and many more. His debut novel, SQUEAKY CLEAN was published by Pushkin Vertigo in 2023 and won The McIlvanney Prize for Scottish Crime Book of the Year 2023.
