With words from Alison Irvine, photography from Chris Leslie and illustrations by Mitch Miller the book captures the complex legacy of this distinctive – and controversial – fixture of Scotland’s built environment.
Based on extensive interviews with local people, Concrete Dreams is an in-depth exploration of the social history of Cumbernauld Town Centre and a discussion on what might come next. The session will consist of a presentation of work and research by the Recollective artists and will be followed by a Q&A and book sales.
This event is supported by Book Week Scotland 2024 event funding.
