This Book Week Scotland (18th- 24th November) join Glasgow Libraries for our citywide packed programme of inspiring, interesting and entertaining bookish events for people of all ages.

We are delighted to welcome Scottish author and illustrator Emily MacKenzie to the Mitchell Library on Saturday the 23rd of November to share her wonderful new picture book HELP! Ralfy Rabbit and the Great Library Rescue.

Ralfy and his little brother Rodney LOVE reading - so when they hear that their local library is closing down, they know they have to do something. According to the librarian, it would take a magic dragon to save the library - so Ralfy, Rodney and their friends set off to find one! Will Ralfy find the magic dragon? Or is there - just maybe - another way to bring the town together and save the library for everyone?

This gloriously illustrated picture book is an uplifting love letter to libraries everywhere, celebrating the value of community and coming together to save the things we love most! Join us for this fun, free and fabulous session where you will have the chance to hear the story and take part in a Ralfy Rabbit drawalong.

Suitable for ages 0-6.

Please book a space for all adults and children attending.

This event is supported by Book Week Scotland 2024 event funding.
