This event is intended for anyone with a love of a well crafted book especially those with an interest in Historical Fiction and also Historical crime fiction.

S. G. MacLean was born in Inverness and attended Dingwall Academy. She has a PhD in History from the University of Aberdeen.

She is the author of both the Alexander Seaton and the Damian Seeker series of historical crime mysteries and has twice won the CWA Historical Dagger. Her standalone Jacobite thriller, The Bookseller of Inverness, was Waterstones Scottish Book of the Year 2023.

Shona will talk about her writing career, what inspires her, and how she goes about her research.
