TALES FROM THE SOUTHSIDE: LAUNCH NIGHT

Battlefield Writer’s Group are launching their third collection of new short stories and poetry, Tales of the Southside by local authors and poets in the Southside of Glasgow during Book Week Scotland.

The event will take place at Langside Library on Tuesday 19 November from 6–7pm.

Over thirty local authors and poets have contributed to the new collection set in or inspired by the character, history and people of the southside of the city. Gothic horror, love and romance, the past, war, tragedy, comedy and much more make up this fascinating and inspiring anthology from new and emerging talent. A number of contributors will read short excerpts from their short stories or poems on the night and there will also be opportunities from members of the audience to ask questions of the writers and members of the Group, how to get involved and generally participate in the evening.

Refreshments will be provided. A public event open to all members of the community. This is your opportunity to support new local writers and enjoy some great new writing.
