Announcing the winners: Maths Tales competition
During Maths Week Scotland in September, the Maths Tales writing competition was launched. Maths week Scotland and Read Write Count with the First Minister teamed up to challenge young authors in classes P1–7 to create a tale incorporating some maths elements – and of course, the new Maths Week Scotland mascot, Finn Finity.
The panel have selected winners and runners up from the following categories:
- Primary 1–3 entries
- Primary 4–7 written entries
- Primary 4–7 comic entries
- Gaelic entries
The winners and runner ups, along with some highly commended stories, have been compiled in to our Maths Tales readymag, available to view now. Enjoy reading the fun and exciting tales of Finn Finity for your Book Week Scotland celebrations!
