I work as a postie at Nottingham Mail centre. Five years ago I suffered with sciatica after falling over on a delivery. A few days later I was putting my son to sleep in the middle of the night and fell over again, fracturing my hip. Despite the pain, I knew I wasn’t going to let it beat me. After three days in hospital I had a hip fixture in place so that I could walk, run and get back to normal. Despite this I have done a 5k for charity to raise awareness for domestic abuse. I've also done a 10k 'Race for Life' which raises money for cancer research. As a woman I want to show that despite the odds you can do anything you put your mind too. Don’t let any obstacle get in the way.
