I took the sun on a helicopter ride
And collected clouds in pillow slips
Packed them,
Wrapped with rainbows
In a case of dreams,
Then boarded a train
To the seaside,
For an ice cream.
When there I swam in the rain
Built dreams
Of sand filled flowing grains
Watched the tide play tunes
With the edge of the beach
Lullabying seagulls not to screech
Relaxing time from hectic to slow
Until the watch face
Said time to go.
Before leaving,
One thing had to be done,
Open the helicopter's door
Release the Sun
To head off west
Where it could stop
For a deserved well earned rest.
