tomorrow
i would like to be listened to
my body taken seriously
its own knowledge acknowledged
and understood
tomorrow i would like to return home
and share tea with you
and know i am loved
and perhaps the sun will be shining
and i will walk to where
there are no people
only the smell of the world awakening
and the kind of green
the city can not give
tomorrow i would like to unwind
the tight fists in my back
and let my body smile
and perhaps tomorrow you will sit
by my side as we sweat
out
our fears
and we will sleep well, sleep
close
to the earth, to each other
tomorrow
i would like to feel safe in my body
on this soil
tomorrow
when spring will be, unequivocally, here
