Awesome Green in Reelig Glen

It's said that for our peace of mind
We need to be immersed in green,
To bathe ourselves in nature wild,
Walk paths and trails and glens and hills,
Our thoughts released
From all life's ills.

To lift our spirits even more
Some say it's awe we really need,
That we should seek
Majestic mountains, oceans ,islands, rainbows
That astound us and can uplift us
At times when life deals us a blow.

This wood I wander, damp and mossy,
Its giant firs, so lichen draped,
Among the tallest in our land,
Inspires such wonder and amazement
Defies indifference, dispels depression,
Creates a sudden burst of joy
And interrupts my life mundane.
